CARMA Limited: Our Mission
RISK ENGINEERING

CARMA was built around the mission to make new technologies available to client organisations, to tailor them to client needs and to integrate them into mainstream management culture.

CROSS-SECTOR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

CARMA was established in 1994 by a small group of commercial, academic and technical entrepreneurs in recognition of the fact that Risk Management was emerging as a field in its own right, after being practised in isolation in disparate domains, e.g. Project Management, Finance, IT Security, Strategic Planning, Insurance, Petrochemical Exploration, Health Care, for very many years.

ONGOING TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT

CARMA has pioneered an integrated approach to Risk Management through a major ongoing development initiative which delivers high-tech methodologies, tools and training materials in response to client needs.

INTEGRATING AI WITH EXISTING SYSTEMS

The quality of CARMA's staff has been instrumental in these achievements. CARMA staff can implement a complete in-house risk management process linking new AI technologies with existing methods and systems into a seamless solution.

SILO BUSTING SYSTEMS

CARMA's tools and methodologies were built to break down 'silo' thinking and 'silo' systems, driven by our core belief that risk management is only effective when strategies, organisations, scenarios or programmes are addressed as a whole.

SOLUTIONS CUSTOMISED TO REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

At a time when institutional interdependence, social and ecological issues, increasing global competition and deregulation are catalysing changes in the organisational environment at an unprecedented rate, the conventional management methods of the past are proving inadequate. This is recognised by regulators, so that disclosure requirements on organisations' risk management processes are increasing. An integrated Risk Management approach is vital for survival in today's high tech, high risk organisational environment.

AHEAD OF THE AI CURVE

CARMA has been using AI technologies such as network analysis, pattern matching and fuzzy theory for well over a decade, long before their value to addressing risk issues was accepted by the mainstream. We continue to invest in leading edge research today, continuously using our academic and technical depth to separate the hype from the valuable new developments, and deliver only effective solutions to customers.
