RISK ENGINEERING FROM CARMA

CARMA was established in 1994 in recognition of the fact that Risk Management is emerging as a field in its own right, after being practised in isolation in disparate domains, e.g. Project Management, Finance, IT Security, Strategic Planning, Insurance, Petrochemical Exploration, Health Care, for very many years. The charts below show a selection of the sectors and applications in which CARMA has been active over the last decade.

CARMA has pioneered an integrated approach to Risk Management through a major ongoing development initiative which delivers high-tech methodologies, tools and training materials. The quality of CARMA's staff has been instrumental in these achievements. CARMA staff can implement a complete in-house risk management process linking existing methods and systems into a seamless solution.

At a time when the IT Revolution, institutional interdependence, social and ecological issues, increasing global competition and deregulation are catalysing changes in the organisational environment at an unprecedented rate, the conventional management methods of the past are proving inadequate. This is recognised by regulators, so that disclosure requirements on organisations' risk management processes are increasing. An integrated Risk Management approach is vital for survival in today's hi-tech, hi-risk business environment.
